Guest Speaker: Darryl Kimball

We had a wonderful guest speaker at our last Lions Club meeting. Darryl Kimball spoke to us about his journey from Valley Center police officer, to helicopter pilot and how it eventually inspired him to write a book about his experiences.

Fall 2013 Rummage Sale

Lions Work Together to Make a Difference!

One of the ways that the Pauma Valley Lions Club raises funds is via our semi-annual Rummage Sales. Early in November, a dozen Lions worked to collect, store, sort, catalog, and transport numerous items to be sold at our Rummage Sale. Dozens of items were donated and collected over several months and sold. The funds made from this sale will help our club provide sight services (glasses and eye exams) to residents in the Pauma Valley area in need. Go Lions!

Lions and Geocachers Team Up to Clean Up!

It was a great Spring day and the weather was perfect for cleanup a local highway. Several Geocachers from all around San Diego county drove out to meet up with the Pauma Valley Lions Club. We met at the Pauma Casino to have breakfast, but found out that they didn't allow kids (even in the restaurant) so we moved the entire group over to a local Mexican restaurant for our energizing meal. After we took a group photo and got organized, we got to work and cleaned up a nice stretch of highway out in the Pauma Valley. The highway was relatively clean, but we still managed to pick up over 12 big bags of trash that had accumulated on the roadside. Thanks to all who were able to attend and help clean up the road. Go Lions! Go Geocachers!
